This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My classroom consist of the most energetic, and cohesive group of three and four year old students a teacher could ever ask for. They interact well with each other, and each child is a unique and caring individual. They are given the opportunity each day to make discoveries on their own, take risk, and learn from their mistakes. They are being empowered to become responsible members of their school community. They are also being taught to believe in themselves and their ability to learn.
My Project
What was your favorite book as a child? Do your remember the joy of a good book? I want my students to experience this joy early on.
Lending Libaries serve as a place of parents /families to borrow books to read at home with the children and extend learning beyond the school day.
Imagine having the opportunity to read a new and exciting book several times a week. Now, imagine being able to share that joy with your family. I want to be a part of that excitement with my Little Lending Library. Each child will be able not only take a book home, but will also be able to write/ draw a response to the book and share with their classmates. I can’t wait to share this new adventure.
