My students need this LightCast Key to further extend their use of the J-Touch that was funded to our class by Ripple's big donation. This would add internet and the ability to use more whiteboard features.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at an elementary school located in an economically disadvantaged community. More than 50% of our students are Hispanic and 75% of all students receive free or reduced lunch. I love teaching kindergarten and believe it is one of the most exciting grades you can teach. My kindergarten students are ready and eager to learn and I truly want to make learning exciting for them. Most of my students have hardships at home but everyday they come to school with a smile on their face and for 7 hours they can just enjoy being a student in my classroom. Despite their hardships, my expectations for my students are very high.
I believe that when you give your students the opportunity to take control of their learning, they will meet your expectations.
My students take responsibility of their learning in student-centered and student led lessons and I want to continue to give them the opportunity to further their education with all the tools and materials that they need.
My Project
I am asking for a InFocus LightCast Key License to be able to enables features such as interactive whiteboard, wireless screen sharing, and web browser. We love using it now and I can only imagine being able to use it with more interactive features.
I would love for my students to be able to interact with the board more than they do now and manipulate the information as I first planned!
I love using it as a screen now and uploading documents for them to mark and practice on, but I believe that internet and screen sharing would be opening a new door to more learning.
