This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Math at a Title one school in Texas. My students come from all walks of life. Many have faced many different hardship that, statistics would say could affect their academic success. My job is to prove those statistics wrong.

Despite their many hardships, my students deserve a quality education and every opportunity to make them successful.

They are very intelligent, well rounded students that deserve the best. They enjoy math and very excited to come to class everyday.

My Project

In math class, students are organized in small groups and are learning through inquiry and exploration. There is not always room on their table to hold supplies and keep them organized. Students have many supplies that will help them with their learning. They use journals, folders, and various manipulative on a daily basis to support their learning.

My project, will help teach and develop the lifelong skill of organization.

Chair pockets will help keep these supplies organized and in order for daily use and learning

Students can focus and learn better in a classroom that is organized and has supplies readily available.
