My Students
I have the privilege of teaching 20 pre-K students in a general education setting. My classroom is made up of 20 eager pre-Kindergarten students. My class is made up of three and four-year-old sweeties. We are singers, readers, writers, mathematicians, and lovers of technology. My students require individualized instruction to succeed in their learning. One of the biggest challenges to teaching students in pre-K is their need for individualized visual schedules and adapted learning materials. I do small groups daily to improve language, reading, and math skills.
My Project
These young learners are excited to be at school and work towards fulfilling their dreams for the future. Science and math are fulfilled learning times for our students. They are motivated to use hands on projects and inquiry based learning techniques. Our school includes hard working teachers, wonderful volunteers, loving parents, and dedicated staff who work to meet the needs of our students every day. We are a family.
The garden is used to support our RRR science curriculum goals.
The materials that are included in this project will help teachers to allow students to work with hands-on tools in the garden and provide needed storage for our materials. The students will help to add soil, dig holes, water the growing plants, and watch them grown in their own little green house. This will help students utilize the crop to help teach life cycles, measurement, and inquiry as well.
