My students are amazing! They are so unique and kind-hearted. They are eager to learn and excited about each new day! All of my students come from various backgrounds which gives us a diverse classroom. Many of them come from low income homes where parents both work. Every day they come in excited to be with their friends and learn new things, especially in reading and math. This year is going to be exciting, I can't wait to see what they are capable of this year as they continue to grow!
My Project
This project will make an amazing difference in my students everyday lives in the classroom! My kindergarteners have all day Kindergarten which means that they are learning from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This can be a really long day for a 5 year old! Last year I provided the majority of all the snacks and it became very costly for a class of 25 kids, however it is necessary. By afternoon, when they are tired and cranky, they really need a snack to re-energize them! It's so worth it to boost brain power and morale, not to mention nutrition value! I have also added some Skittles and M&M's incentive for special goals the kids have accomplished!
