After working diligently throughout a long school year as well as staying focused on academics and leadership throughout the last 6 years of elementary school, these sixth graders need a day to celebrate and blow off some steam! This class makes up the largest grade level in our school full of students who have consistently exceeded goals set for them and surpassed many other classes academically all while working in the highest teacher to student ratio in the building.
These students are a unique set of sixth graders who are gaining experiences and the knowledge to prepare them for academic greatness at the junior high level here in Moore, Oklahoma.
From a young age, they are boys and girls who have lead by example. Teachers across the board are exceedingly proud of them and wish them all the advantages and opportunities that can and will come across their paths in years to come.
My Project
After a grueling week of state-mandated testing for which they have been mastering skills and objections for all year long, this field trip will be a day for them to enjoy school in a rewarding and fun way. They will have an opportunity to learn more about the life cycle and wildlife conservation, as well as their responsibilities as citizens in this great state. Also, as the emphasis on STEM learning has become many schools' focus, students will have a chance to have some hands-on engineering experiences. This will be an opportunity to create memories that will last a life time as well as a special time for their teachers to give them greatest pat on the back before we have to send them onward and upward.
