This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Many of my students come from high poverty homes to my classroom where I am the sole provider of their educational experience. I have 17 eager and energetic first graders that love to learn. They enjoy helping each other reach their goals.
My students come to school with a wide array of backgrounds and experiences.
It is my task to make sure I use strategies which will help my students focus and be highly engaged while learning. We need ink, a laminator and laminating pouches to help make reading centers be successful.
My Project
These materials are very important! I need ink and a laminator so I can create beneficial learning activities for my students to use during reading centers. I find and print wonderful learning activities, but we are unable to use them if I don't have the opportunity to get them laminated. The lamination keeps the activities safe and secure so they can be used for several years.
The materials I am requesting will greatly improve my students' learning experiences.
As most classrooms go, my students are on various reading levels. I cannot put one activity for the students to complete during reading centers. Some of my students need phonemic awareness activities while others need reading comprehension passages. These materials will allow me to help meet the needs of all of my students.
