My Project

My Kindergarten students are wonderful! We are the largest district in the state of NH. My classroom is a community of learners that come from many different economic and ethnic backgrounds, many of whom come from high-poverty areas. Our school is a Title I school and 65% of our school's population receives free or reduced-price lunch.

Children naturally learn through play by engaging in and making sense of their world.

Play-based learning is self-chosen, enjoyable, and process-oriented. My students love to dress up and play in the doll house, but ours is in disrepair after many years of use. This project would give my students a new doll house to enjoy and continue to expand their peer relationships and self-esteem through play!
