The Joy of Painting and Sculpture
Help me give my students acrylic paint and plaster sculpture supplies. The amount of these supplies will allow every student to experience creating something amazing!
I teach a wonderful, enthusiastic group of 7th and 8th graders this year! People always tell me that I must have a tough job teaching middle school, but I absolutely love them. They are goofy, excited, and trying to find out who they are! Middle school can be a difficult and stressful time for my students, however I strive to build a classroom that provides engaging materials and exciting activities that can be stress relieving to them. Being an art class has its benefits. I am able to connect to more students and see what makes them tick! There are so many facets to art and design that can grab my students attention and have them hooked and engaged for the rest of their lives! (That’s what it did for me!)
Every student should have a chance to be creative! In the Art room, students can enjoy a creative outlet, unlike any other classroom! They can get hands-on and work on projects that they are proud of! These painting and sculpture materials will help boost the hands-on projects in our art room and feed our students' creativity! Our students will be able to create plaster sculptures for the first time! They will also learn new techniques of painting with acrylic paint!
Art is one of the subjects that can reach the students that feel left out.
And by providing these amazing materials you can help reach even more kids! Students in my class always have a particular curiosity for painting and sculpture! It is hands-on, messy, and can have some amazing results! Keep the arts and creativity alive in our schools!
