Help me give my students a paper storage center, a craft tape center, markers, and oter supplies for an accessible and organized space for their own Creation Station.
Our Creation Station will be a place to combine imagination and art. It could be used to follow a lesson. It will give students the opportunity to use their imagination through a variety of mediums which engages the brain!
Students flourish when given the opportunity to create.
Some of my students have limited motor skills and have not had access to a variety of creative supplies.
A Creation Station allows for fine motor practice and can allow connection to our current literature and literacy skills. Paper projects using colored tapes, glue, and markers can allow students to express themselves. A puzzle station provides a calming space to refocus. Yarn crafts are another option for students to develop interests that can also serve them later in life as well. The paper station and organizers are a crucial part of this project. These supplies will give children organized access to materials, as well as a sense of ownership over the care and keeping of community materials.
For creating, crafting, drawing, calming, and more, this project will benefit all students (and staff!) at our elementary school.
