Help me give my students a window into the world right at their fingertips. These Chromebooks will enhance their creativity and help them to be prepared for demands of the 21st Century.
My special education students strive to do their best each and every day. While each of them is unique and hardworking, they do have obstacles to overcome on a daily basis. I admire their determination and how they support each other in a time of need.
My students are empowered by the use of technology, which helps to prepare them for the "real world" beyond the classroom doors.
I love to see the expressions on their faces when that light bulb finally turns on. This is why I chose to teach struggling learners. We are in need of creative ways to develop critical thinkers and create problem-solvers.
My Project
By helping me to fund this project it will give my special education students a chance to engage with the outside world and begin to prepare themselves for high school. A majority of the students I teach are economically disadvantaged, have limited English proficiency or come from single parent households.
My special education students are naturally drawn to technology and become more engaged in their learning when they have a familiar tool.
Having the ability to listen to audio books, type an essay, practice spelling, vocabulary and math in a differentiated format based on readiness, would be like a dream come true.
These Chromebooks would truly make a difference in individual learning styles and make the classroom a little less stressful. It would be wonderful to declutter our small space and save some trees in the process. Computer literacy is such a vital requirement for all students in today's competitive society. I need your support to turn this dream into a reality. Thanks!
