My Project

I love that my special first grade class adores reading but we need decodable reading material for all levels of readers. That is why I am asking for a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card for the power to purchase SOR decodable materials from the TPT site! My students work hard, and many are taking Accelerated Reader tests, but all need more decodable texts to develop a strong phonetic knowledge.

This TPT gift card will allow me to purchase SOR-aligned decodable texts that will provide my students the support at the reading level they need.

Our current reading curriculum falls short in decodable reading material making differentiating reading texts challenging. These materials will give me the ability to print texts at any time of the year and at any level, whether a beginner, an emergent, or a fluent reader, to benefit all my students.

These materials will be used daily inside the school in our reading groups and outside the school as reading homework. I will also be able to differentiate the texts by student reading ability, providing each student the right reading support they need. I am very excited to be able to further help support my students in their growth! Thank you for your consideration in helping our class!
