Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working, smart kids who I admire for their strength and resilience in dealing with all that goes on in the society around them and still have the energy and smarts to focus on school and care about the community that they live in. They are ALL winners to me!

I am teaching them inquiry based science with laboratory based learning.

My Project

I can video the use of some of the items for students to view at home. Students can play the videos repeatedly to review the lessons. The items I selected will assist in constructions of several different projects in Integrated Science 7. Our work in invisible forces (Electromagnet/ Compact Motor Generator Set), living things and anatomy (3-D Model/earthworms), and genetics (Electrophoresis Kit) will all be enhanced through the use of the products I have selected for our classroom. I can use supplies we already have along with the items on my list to give students positive experiences that they otherwise would not have.
