My students face many challenges before ever stepping through our classroom door. They live with poverty and social limitations that tell them who they are expected to become one day. Despite all of the distractions, I see little faces full of life that are begging for adventure.
In the classroom, my students transform into tiny kings and queens ready to rule the world; safe from their predestined futures chosen by the broken society we live in.
They are curious creatures just searching for any excitement that education can give them!
My Project
Our classroom is very welcoming with yellow and wooden tones creating a warm, safe environment for students to exercise their imaginations. I would like to add a technology corner where small group rotations can have access to 4 Amazon Fire tablets previously purchased for the students.
I wish for technology to leap off the screen of these tablets in this whimsical honeycomb corner created for my students imaginations.
The tablet covers, a docking station and floor rug will help to complete the technology station I have envisioned for our classroom. Students will feel empowered and independent when in their little corner of the world.
