My Students

This is a special education class that includes students with a moderate intellectual disability. They are in the same classroom for the entire school day. Many of the students enjoy manipulating things with their hands. They also need hands on activities to encourage deeper thinking.

My Project

Many of the students in the classroom relax and remain calm while they are working with their hands. Being able to fidget or construct things will create a better atmosphere in the classroom setting. Some students are not into technology at all and have been overlooked with the educational rush to make everyone dependent on technology. These students will be able to use these hands on devices while other students usually have the option of using some sort of electronics. Most of the items currently in the classroom are out of date or not in good working condition.
