This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are special because they are making the best of our situation of being displaced from Hurricane Harvey. We are currently sharing a school with local high school. The students are doing their best with what they have such as working with limited space.
Our school serves grades 5-8 and we have excellent teachers assisting with their education.
They come from various backgrounds and mostly low income families. The students are interested in learning health facts and tips to keep them healthy and in school.
My Project
Many times healthcare is over looked in education. School nursing is very important in school aged students. The materials requested will allow my students to be creative in learning healthcare and to remain healthy during the school year. This project will promote health and wellness and influence student to take their health serious.
The heat press and the silhouette will help create multiple posters, visual aids, and creative visual aids to grab students attention.
The silhouette will allow me to create creative ideas to help my students with health education. The supplies will be utilized to create health related visual aids to aid in learning of flu prevention and hand washing. This will be very helpful in having visual information on how important student health is. Visual learning aids can help achieve more students attention. The supplies can create multiple types of visual aids for the students. This project will guide my students in the right direction to keep the healthy and in school instead of being absent to preventative health issues.
