Help me give my students a contemporary reading experience. As a class, we have been asking the big question- "What makes us human?" as a theme in literature. My students are highly motivated to read this book!

Our district is small and our schools are Title 1 schools. The students in our district are all free lunch and breakfast. For many of our students, extra money to supplement school needs and school supplies is just not available from their families. Many of our students work very hard and dream of the opportunity for higher learning. I would like to help them reach their goals. I want to make sure that they have opportunities in the classroom to make it happen!
My students will be able to read contemporary teen literature and as well as analyze its themes. Often, my students are limited to what is available in my classroom. While I have many classics, it would really great for them to read something that speaks to them from their own generation and experiences.
They are really motivated to read the book; so 18 copies of the book "The Hate U Give" would be wonderful.
Reading contemporary teen literature in the classroom is a great way to bring in students who don't necessarily enjoy reading and to create lifelong readers and learners!
