I teach in a small school with an incredibly varied student body. The school is located in a tough area with the lowest income per capita in the state. About 42% of our students come from the surrounding neighborhood. Our school has three main focuses: high academic achievement, global perspective, and character development.
Part of our mission is to create learners who are eager to work hard for success and be outstanding global citizens.

The engagement and learning that takes place with hands-on manipulative is so powerful it makes my job easy!
Students will have some experiences which will become their background knowledge to use during the audio learning time.
Manipulatives doesn't limit a students learning! It lets them explore! Manipulatives helps students create and answer questions themselves!
The one limit manipulatives have in a classroom is not having enough for all students to use. The manipulatives will also allow student to use some creativity, a skill that some students are lacking.
Manipulatives is one way to take abstract learning and make it more concrete!
