Here at our school, we are a family full of kindergarten through fifth graders who are eager to learn and exceed beyond expectations and challenges that are presented to us each and every day!
Our low income, Title I school raises the bar and sets expectations high even though teachers and administrators know what adversity and challenges the students meet every day. Our school is home to a variety of cultures and customs. We understand that some of the best success comes after challenges!
My Project
Our school is in need of more leveled reading books to help meet the needs of our young and beginning readers. It is important they have a mix of both fiction and non- fiction readers to learn the necessary skills to be successful in a multitude of subject areas. These readers will really help support our classroom teachers and interventionists meet each students individual needs. Students in grades K-2 will be able to utilize the books in small and whole group instruction and well as independent reading time. Reading is the gatekeeper to a lifetime of learning and love of reading.
