My students are exceptionally hard workers. Many of them come from backgrounds in which they have to work part-time jobs, take care of their families, as well as manage their academics and extra-curricular activities.
My students continue to change my life daily.
Many people often think a classroom is centered around a teacher teaching students, but the truth is--I learn more about hard work, dedication, and persistence, every day I am around them. Please continue to support my amazing and dedicated musicians in whatever we may need!
Our orchestra program is continuously growing. The more students we add to the program, the more instruments we will need. If we do not have an instrument for every student, it prohibits the program from growing and forces the students to share instruments which hinders their learning progress on their instrument. I am requesting a violin and a viola because these are the biggest sections in our orchestras and are the sections that are most in need of more instruments! By helping us with these instruments, you will ensure at least two more students is one step closer to having an opportunity at a sound, quality experience in the music classroom.
By helping us with this project, you will be putting an instrument into a student's hands, which will open up many more doors than just playing notes on a page: teamwork, community, creativity, and even opportunities for college.
Many of my students find motivation to attend school and excel in their academics simply through their love of music. Through the donations from this project, they will be allowed to do so.
