Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are bright, fun, and quite energetic. In my classroom, we word extremely hard and play even harder. They are special because they are learning how to have a positive mindset about everything they do. (The power of yet!).

Our students receive school breakfasts and lunches because of their economic background.

However, this does not stop them from showing up to school and trying hard everyday! They are in need of an equal opportunity that will help them reach their full potential.

My Project

I have seen firsthand how singing, playing instruments, and dancing increases a students' attention span, ability to work independently, and assists with cognitive studies. As a classically trained pianist, I have always wanted to give my pupils a similar foundation of music that they will remember forever.

Music will change the lives of my students!

At our school, we do not have a music program/class. With my background and your awesome donations, I can incorporate music into the curriculum I teach. This will truly engage my students and help them learn critical thinking skills.

Music is a gift that all students should experience no matter their upbringing. Music should be free for all and not a privilege. Thank you!
