My Project

I am hoping to be able to purchase each of my students a special Christmas chapter book and a set of multiplication flash cards that they can read and practice with at home during Christmas break with their family. I want to be able to keep them learning and engaged academically while on break.

I want to be able to share with my students one of my most favorite Christmas chapter books that I fondly remember my elementary teachers reading to my class each year when I was their age.

I am also hoping that this book will inspire my students to read with, and to, their families. Children are taught how to read at school, but the real joy of reading is found at home making memories, connections, and spending quality time together.

I would also like to be able to give my students their own set of multiplication flash cards so that they can practice, and learn, their multiplication facts at home. Many of my students are still struggling to memorize and learn their multiplication facts. By having their own set of flash cards, students will have another opportunity to help reinforce and learn a much needed lifelong skill.

Your support will help me to be able to provide my students with a Christmas book and a set of multiplication flash cards to use over break. Growing lifelong readers and mathematicians are just two of my goals for my class—and your contribution will help do just that!
