Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What do kids love the most? Their moms, candy, and games (and not necessarily in that order).

My students eagerly finish their math work everyday because they want to participate in our math game time.

Beyond the motivational reward, though, my students learn necessary social skills from our game time - They learn about taking turns, playing fair, winning & losing gracefully. They learn to read the rules and follow them, whether it's by using Uno or Snap Circuits, Chess or Othello.

These skills also help bolster their academic skills in math and reading! So, no matter who wins the game, everybody wins!
