My students need to be exposed to laboratory instruments for science experiments, nature specimen sets, different types of shells, talking microscope, science lab gears, earth and space viewers and a kit for animal hospital.

My Students

I teach a Bilingual PreK blended class at an Early Childhood School in Texas. My bilingual students qualify based on language or income. I teach literacy and social studies in Spanish and math and science in English. In my class, there are several students with speech problems and learning disabilities.

When we have a problem, we work collaboratively and help each other through modeling and playing.

Their motivation to come to school for the first time keeps them engaged and enthusiastic to learn new things.

My Project

I believe science is everywhere around us and it is important for a child to be exposed to real situations to succeed in life. These materials (science kits, sets, microscope) will provide an excellent idea of how experiments don't necessarily have a right or wrong answer and only through practice will we confirm the hypothesis.

Science teaches kids the world around them and involves a lot of talking and listening to others and develops patience.

Also, it provides problem-solving and high-level thinking questions.

This will help my students to learn English in a very fun way as a 4-year-old should do.
