My students need items to provide quality multisensory instruction. This includes materials for handwriting such as finger grips, Handwriting Without Tears supplies, and Wikki Stix to manipulate into letters. There are also plenty of fun items!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My scholars are a diverse group of students representing the population of the city in which we live. We are a fun loving and hard working bunch, that believe in offering educational equity to every family that walk through our doors.
We are tackling systematic discrepancies that have historically placed groups of people at an educational disadvantage.
This work is tiresome and often emotionally charged. There is a sense of urgency that requires all of us to take responsibility and fight for literacy as a right.
My Project
There are supplies that are necessary to any functioning classroom, clipboards, dry erase markers, and sheet protectors are needed in my room and are included on this project.
The materials on this project will support in making literacy instruction multisensory.
The Handwriting Without Tears materials are effective and needed for our primary scholars. Wikki Stix are fun for all ages! Let scholars create AND use them to form letters as they begin to make sense of the alphabet.
There are also plenty of fun items that will bring smiles to the kiddos faces! The smelly stickers and motivational erasers will make instruction just that much more fun.
