Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very deserving and thankful for every opportunity given to them. I teach Mathematics in rural Alabama middle school that serves approximately 900 student. 50% of our students are minority students. 100% of our students receive free school breakfast and lunch and some students receive food over the weekend through a volunteer based Blessings in a Backpack program. Despite many hardships and obstacles, my students are hard-working and determined to succeed. Your donation helps my bright students grow into everything they are capable of becoming! Thank you!
My Project
Last year's flu virus was vicious at our school!
We had a large rise in absenteeism during the cold and flu months resulting in students not being able to learn as much as they could have had they been healthy.
This year I am hoping to stock up on supplies to kill germs and get ahead of the flu and cold season, which started as early as September last year. I am asking for Lysol spray, Clorox wipes, Theives and citrus essential oils to diffuse to kill germs, hand sanitizer, and paper towels to clean and sanitize the environment my students come in to learn!
