My Students
I am a teacher to a wonderful group of 1st grade students. Over the last few years, my students have seen many setbacks, especially academic, due to the pandemic. However, it has not stolen their sparkle. My students are full of life, they love to make jokes and laugh, and are fearless when it comes to participating in learning. They are curious, put in an amazing amount of effort, and do not seem to be shaken when they make a mistake. I see complete resilience inside of them at such a young age and it truly inspires me.
When it comes to character, my students are eager to please and want to do a good job.
They have exceptional manners, always show appreciation and are so willing to lend a helping hand to another classmate. When I look at them, I understand the importance of helping them build strong foundations in all areas of their lives because they will lead us in the future. When I think about them, I see future teachers, future lawyers, and future athletes in my midst. I see tender hearts and childhood dreams before my feet that I want to nurture and not trample.
My Project
While our class has worked hard to stay healthy, the cold and flu season has not even come upon us quite yet and we go through a box of Kleenex every three days and a container of wipes every 5 days.
These supplies will be used to help keep my students cared for and my classroom as disinfected as possible to help ease the minds of the students and parents.
My hope is to not only nurture and educate every student, but also keep them healthy and safe so they do not miss out on the opportunity to learn.
