My Students
We are called: The F&T Decoders!
Our mission is to identify a problem that arises in long duration space journeys, and develop a solution to make long distance space travel possible!
My students are kids that have a passion for technology. They love building robots, solving real world problems and engaging in exciting opportunities to show off their STEM skills.
What makes my students special is that ALL of the are most certainly "diamonds in the rough".
All my students live in the South Bronx and 100% of them receive free or reduced lunch opportunities. They love Robotics and dream of the opportunity to compete at local and regional Robotics competition just for the amazing experience they will have communicating with other like-minded students, and being inspired by the world of STEM.
Currently 0% of my students have had an opportunity to experience events like the First Lego Robotics Competition due to lack of resources and funds.
My Project
My students have amazing scientific and engineering minds. We just need materials to show the world what we can do!
With these items my students will be able to compete in the First Lego Tournaments/Competitions and experience the world of STEM like they never have before.
They will be able to put all of their engineering ideas into play and apply them to solving real world STEM issues related to Space Travel.
Participating and competing in this event will not only boost my students confidence, but help enrich their minds and keep them interested in real world STEM issues.
We just need the materials to show the world what our South Bronx Robotics Team can do!
