My students need a rolling easel to help them see modeling from the teacher. They will also be able to use this independently while working on writing and math.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kindergarten students are full of excitement for learning. The diverse population within our walls allows for them to view everyone as unique individuals with common needs.
Our emphasis on respect, responsibility, and kindness has permeated throughout.
My students are learning life skills of cooperation, collaboration, and perseverance. I am a big proponent of teaching my students age-appropriate independence early on.
My students use their senses to explore and learn about the world. To encourage these explorations, I would like to foster their independence by giving them easy access to learning materials.
My Project
Our kindergarten classroom is big but we only have one small white board on the wall. It also sits too high for students to reach effectively. Students have difficulty seeing the board from their tables. I believe having a rolling easel will help my students while working at their tables.
My students would love to be able to independently use an easel for use dry erase markers, magnetic letters and numbers, or to peruse a big book.
This easel also has storage so all of the materials they would need are easily accessible. It can also hold pocket charts so students can access vocabulary and/or sight word cards for independent practice.
