Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach lower grade elementary age students. The students are from the surrounding neighborhoods in an urban Southeast Georgia city. My kids have limited worldly experiences out of the school setting so I am committed to bringing the world to them.

They just soak up the information like little sponges!

As I teach, they ask question after question. Our lessons start simple but then take an elaborate turn. I love teaching in an environment where kids are excited about learning!

My Project

The requested materials will make learning easier in a small place. My kids and I will be able to make learning individualized, not only through lessons but through the use of individualized seating.

Being able to have easy access to learning materials by the portable easel and comfortable seating (bean bag and Comfy Chair) arrangements creates a positive learning environment for teachers and kids.

The use of the individual whiteboards gives all student the ability to participate with any lesson and/or activity, and the headphones let kids listen to individual lessons without being distracted by other, outside classroom noise.
