Help me give my students the opportunity to work with the Makerblock Airblock Transformable Drone/Hovercraft Robot and other drones included in this list.
This is my 35th year of teaching. This is my second year of having the opportunity to teach our 4, 5, 6 Highly Capable classroom. Each year we study different content. This year we are studying fifth-grade content, which brings us to U.S. History. We are lucky enough to participate in Future Problem Solvers of America. This program lets us delve into a variety of current topics, and it's amazing. We've learned a lot about drones and we'd like the opportunity to investigate all the opportunities with these block drones.
My Project
This Drone Experience will help my students work with a variety of drones that have different controllers and perform different tasks. The Block drone can become a number of different drones and is controlled by an app. Some of the other drones are controlled by controllers and allow the students to get experience operating a variety of drones.
Not only does this give my students the opportunity to see how these work, but this project also gives my students an opportunity to expand their creative nature and look beyond to what they can create and how they can contribute to the world with new versions of drones and the purpose of those drones.
After exploring drones we will create a blueprint for our own drones with a twist of solving an environmental problem and or improving on a process we currently practice.
