Help me give my students a chance to read a very important story. The story of Anne Frank is a classic and one that everyone must read or experience. Help me engage my students in important life lessons.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are diverse in every single way. They travel from all over town, from all different walks of life to attend this amazing school. They are united as a family through music, dance, art, and theater. They are learning how to love not only themselves but everyone.
My students deserve the best because they give their best every day.
They are scholars who have high expectations and high demands of themselves. They never settle for less than their best!
My Project
Many of my students hear about the Holocaust and Anne Frank for the first time in the 8th grade. They become engaged, outraged and confused that the events that took place were allowed to happen. They also struggle with the fact that this historic event has survivors still alive today. The students never get the opportunity to read Anne Frank due to lack of resources and materials.
I believe the addition of this text would make all the difference in the world.
It would allow my students better insight through the eyes of someone who was their age living through this dark time.
