Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to connect to the world. They are bright, capable and ready for a challenge. They are firm in their beliefs, values, and opinions. My students have lots of mixed interests, abilities and goals.
My students deserve an inspiring environment.
Some of my students are misunderstood and mislabeled. Somewhere along the way, they were discouraged by their education and I'd like to see them thrive. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh perspective and some motivation.
My Project
Have you ever walked in a building that inspired you? Have you seen the Google headquarters and thought to yourself, "Wow! It would be great to work here!" I want that for my students.
I want them to walk in to class and feel excited and at home.
I want to distract them from the labels surrounding school and let them be in a space that inspires them to learn. It is time that I being to make my room a bit more modern and inspirational. I'd like to use the wall paper and library shelves to create a new atmosphere for my kids. The other craft materials will help me give them opportunities to turn their academic learning into creative projects!
