This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for."
- Georgia O'Keeffe, American Painter
I serve 430 students in a charter school for grades Pre-K through 8 in Connecticut.
My students are budding artists who explore, experiment, create and evaluate works of art, both their own and that of others. They are excited and enthusiastic learners.
My Project
The starting point of any great art program is exploring art media and creating works of art. My students love to draw. Our drawing projects will go from black and white to Technicolor with the range of colors and quality of the marker sets requested.
These supplies will give my students more opportunity to fully express themselves.
They will be able to achieve greater detail in their work. We would be over the rainbow to receive this donation!
