My Students

Our Mission

Our School recognizes that each child is an individual; that all children are creative; that all children need to succeed.

Therefore, we respect the individual needs of children and foster a caring and creative environment that emphasizes the social, emotional, physical, intellectual development of each child.

We currently do not have an Art teacher. Without real-life learning experiences, true learning does not occur. It is my hope to provide my students with challenges that cannot be obtained through reading alone.

My Project

The Claymobile sends a teaching artist and an assistant to a host site to conduct ceramic art lessons. This works in a residency format. The teaching artists come to the classroom once a week for six weeks. These lessons are designed specifically for the age and ability of each student. Students will be led through a variety of art projects using clay. They will learn to express themselves artistically and collaboratively.

All children deserve access to a quality art program.

We hope to provide our students with as many learning opportunities as possible. In addition, your generous donation will help bring a hands-on experience into our classroom. Studying art at any age encompasses more than being creative. It is a pathway that connects to math and reading!
