My Project

Building confidence in struggling readers is the key to success! Having a set of "The Science of Reading Decodable Books" will permit me to meet struggling readers at their level. I would love the opportunity to have my students practice the reading passages from this resource daily. Having a strong foundation of phonemic awareness is crucial for students to become succesful readers. Decodable books encourage students to use decoding strategies to sound out words. These books will help students make connecions between sounds and words. My goal is to help students become fluent and independent readers.

Decodable books help teach students the strategies they need to become successful at reading.

Through practice with decodable books, students will build a strong foundation of reading, as well as their overall confidence.
