The Building Blocks of Our Future

My students need different types of building block sets, toy professional figurines, and a rug to expand their learning and creative environment.

My Students

One block. Eventually that one block on the rug will expand into a house, a building, a city, and eventually an entire world. All civilizations started from an idea by a great mind. That mind put his idea into action. My children wish to do the same with their thought.

When you step into our school, you'll feel very welcomed.

Our security agent is very nice, but stern when it comes to keeping our students safe. Our staff and faculty are also friendly and dedicated to providing our students with the best education possible. Our early childhood elementary school strongly believes in nurturing the mind as well as the body of the child to ensure their success. Along with the standard education of math and reading, we also educate our students on the importance of living an active lifestyle and making healthy choices. Most of our students are English language learners and the majority qualify for free/reduced lunch. When you step inside our pre-k class, you're required to use your imagination. While some pre-k classes are pushing non-developmentally appropriate expectations on their students, our pre-k focuses on allowing children to be children in a play-based learning environment. We hope you enjoy our stay at TALES!

My Project

What you may see as children playing with blocks on a rug is actually much more than that. They're architects working either together or independently on an idea from their imagination. What you may see as a teacher requesting toys is actually much more than that. The teacher is serving as a material supplier supplying tools and bricks for the architects working on an idea from their imagination. What you may see as a random stacking of blocks is actually much more than that. The random stack represents a civilization built by the architect who received their materials from a supplier to work on an idea from their imagination. What you may see as toy people is actually much more than that. The toy people are the community workers that work together to advance the civilization built by the architect who received their materials from a supplier to work on an idea from their imagination. Their imagination, their thought, their idea...it's important to nurture it when they're young.

All the great minds in our civilization started somewhere.

Their teachers did not foresee who they would eventually grow up to become. I want to be the one who fostered and nurtured the imagination of my students in a classroom that's set up to welcome any and all ideas. Your help will support the building blocks of great ideas for our future. That idea may start off as one block, but it is destined to become much more.
