My Students

My students in a low-income school district are incredibly talented and hardworking. They face challenges inside and outside of the classroom that keep them from having appropriate resources to succeed in school.

"Rosin; the breath of a violinist!"

My students love to play stringed Instruments and having rosin, which is necessary for the bow to produce sound, is essential.

My students have class every day during school and are fortunate to be a part of a orchestra of over 80 musicians and hundreds of elementary schoolers! Since we have a large group, having readily available supplies is essential. Your small contribution means that we can focus on the more important things, like music!

My Project

Rosin is essential for the bow to create the response from a string. It provides grip which makes the string vibrate, thus producing good sound. Students use this material on a daily basis.

A string player without rosin is like a singer without their breath!

Unfortunately, it is very easy to drop and shatter rosin which is why rosin needs to be replaced every now and then. A steady supply means the world to the sound of our orchestra.

The rosin will go to high school students and elementary school students. Such a small thing helps a lot of people!
