I am so excited and feel extremely grateful to be starting my Second year as a VPK teacher/director. I love working with preschoolers, and seeing how their eyes light up when I have taught them something new. I have two classes, a morning session and an afternoon session giving me a total of 40 students. Each and every one of them are special and silly in their own unique way. They are so eager every day to learn new things and be a part of the fun and exciting activities. Giving them a great first experience to school is one of my biggest goals. When they find out that learning is fun, they are excited to come to school every day. I believe this excitement for learning will create future academic success.
When introducing and conducting STEM activities and other daily lessons in the classroom, it is important that I can guide and supervise the children in small groups. With this new table I will be able to break the students up into smaller groups. In smaller groups I can carry out activities with greater ease. Having smaller groups will increase the students understanding of the activities, and STEM concepts. This will cause an increase in their participation and ensure more team collaboration. With this new table I am confident that smaller group sizes will enable all the students to have greater success and take more away from the lessons.
