My Project

My English course for sophomores will soon read Cristina Henríquez's The Book of Unknown Americans. This novel is modern and follows high school students and their families through challenging real-life experiences. Our novel study objectives are to analyze Henríquez's characterization, plot development, themes, style, and other literary devices. We will use the novel to fuel class discussions, literary analyses, and a final essay.

By donating to our project, you will not only help students increase their literacy analysis skills and have meaningful class discussions, but you will also help supply them with the novel past sophomores cited as one of their favorite and most evocative stories read in high school.
