This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are intelligent Black and Hispanic students who live in the inner city. Although they have a lot of obstacles, they do not let anything stand in the way of their education. They are determined to learn. I love that my students are creative individuals who love to read. They love to challenge themselves by reading new books every week. I am requesting Ghost Boys and Amari and the Night Brothers will be read in our book club.

Book clubs promote a love of literature in a positive, nurturing environment.

They also encourage critical thinking and deeper engagement with stories. Finally, book clubs provide assistance for students in reading and reading comprehension. Some students do not have the skills to read chapter books. The book club will give students from all reading levels to experience the joy of reading. The book club is named The Billionaire Book Club because it will make them rich with knowledge.
