I teach at a Title I school, and many of my students come from low income families. My fourth grade students make me proud to be their teacher. My students are creative and have such an amazing work ethic that brings me such joy and inspires me to work harder to provide them with the best education possible. My classroom is made up of a diverse group of academic levels, as I teach in an inclusion classroom.
It is my obligation, as a teacher, to provide my students with a meaningful education.
My students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom, and I only hope when they are with me, I can provide them all the tools they need to be successful.
My Project
These books will continue to support my library goal of having fun and engaging books for all readers. Our classroom library is a place where students not only come to check out books, but also to enjoy story time. Picture books used as read alouds allow us to spend time discussing the story, pictures, and words. Even the most reserved student can't help but get excited with a fun read aloud.
With new books my students will be able to choose from a large selection of picture books that will help support their love of reading.
Picture books will help support student reading, listening, analyzing, predicting, speaking, and writing skills.
