Welcome to our Intervention Classroom in Montana. Our classroom provides services in both reading and math to students from very diverse backgrounds. Students who struggle in reading and/or math need multiple opportunities and tools to increase their confidence and improve their learning.
Our Intervention Classroom has provided intervention to over 60 students in grades K-5 this year.
Some of those students come from multi-cultural backgrounds, some qualify for free and reduced lunch, some come from single-parent families, and some even live in foster homes. It is always exciting to see our students grow leaps and bounds in every academic year!
While using our bean bag chairs in the classroom, students will be able to read in comfort. Allowing students to spread out will eliminate distractions to readers. If reading can take place, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency will increase. These are all key pieces to increasing their skills and becoming a skilled reader.
When students are feeling warm and safe...reading takes place!
Reading and comfort go hand in hand. In providing my students with 2 bean bag chairs it will, in turn, help them foster a love of reading. Cuddling them up and helping them feel safe in the classroom is a dream come true for any reader.
