My students attend a public charter school! I currently have 27 students in my class. Imagine schools provides hands-on learning experiences for their students. My students absolutely love technology and a hands-on approach to learning.They love music and to be up and moving around the room!
My goals is to provide my students with the materials they need to be successful.
I want to provide a colorful, inviting, and fun learning environment for my students. The students in my class have been through a rough year. We have had a mass shooting in our area as well as tornados that destroyed many homes. I am doing the best that I can to make learning fun and provide these students with a safe and fun learning environment that includes several hands on learning activities.
My Project
I am working on making my classroom a colorful, fun and inviting learning experience for my students. My students come from all over Dayton, Ohio. These students have been through a lot just this past year alone. We have lost so many people due to gun violence, drug addiction, natural disasters etc. My students need a safe, warm environment in which they can forget about the outside world and focus on themselves! All of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch. May of my parents are laid off or out of work due to the current crisis in the United States. When we are able to return to school I want my students to have a fun, inviting, colorful classroom they can enjoy. Many students come to school without the supplies they need because their parents can not afford basic supplies. My students and parents are struggling to meet basic needs. I want to help fix that! I want to be able to provide my students the supplies, pencils, erasers, glue sticks for projects they need to be successful! Students will use all of the supplies and Fire tablets. Headphones will allow everyone to listen without disturbing other students to complete classroom assignments. Students will use the tablets to complete their online learning through our Lexia program, which helps students build upon their reading skills.
