Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is filled with general education students, special education students and students learning English as a second language. All of my students have different challenges and needs, but come to school each day very eager to learn.
My students don't necessarily have extra materials or resources at home, so they are very appreciative of the ones we have inside the classroom.
This school is in a low-income area, filled with children with many different needs, but seeing them have the opportunity to have these amazing materials from DonorsChoose.org is truly a blessing! Some of our students have special needs, are English language learners and have emotional disabilities; these materials will really help students explore! Thank you in advance for helping add to the success of our classroom!
My Project
My students would benefit from having a lot of different supplies in the classroom. My students would benefit from having a large white board in the classroom to show their work on while presenting on the presentation cart.
This will help them develop a voice in the classroom while presenting in class projects and assignments.
My students have various different needs so the magnetic letters will help meet individual needs, as well as the velro dots. Students will use these materials for morning bins on a daily basis. The storage units will be used to store presentation materials and differentiated materials throughout each day. Having students present their work will truly help them become confident in the classroom. Students will store their work inside the folders to keep it safe. Sometimes these materials are often overlooked, but so very important.
