My Students

I teach in a Title I school. We are a K-6th grade elementary school of roughly 700 students. We are bursting at the seams with the most amazing kids! Our school has worked hard to build a warm sense of community. Students, families, and staff, feel safe, respected, valued, and welcome at our school. This school year, I am excited to be welcoming approximately 20 new kindergarteners to our school!

As a Title I school, we all work hard to close the achievement gap for our low-income students.

We never want a lack of technology, materials, or learning aids to hinder the high levels of learning that we all strive for and know our students are capable of. Students struggle for a variety of reasons, but I know with hard work and determination from them and myself, we can do amazing things!

My Project

I am requesting pencils, erasers, dry-erase markers, notebooks and glue sticks for my students. These materials would help my students learn and grow, without worry of not having enough materials. These items would likely last throughout the year, helping students learn math, reading, and art skills. Students love to use dry-erase markers and glue sticks! These items seem to make anything you do just a little more fun. Whatever it takes, right?

Often times, families are not able to send their students to school with enough supplies to last until June.

I would love for all of my students to start out with basic supplies and be able to replenish them as needed.
