I am a teacher at Ponchatoula High School in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. This is a relatively small community, and our students are motivated and willing to learn. I teach English III and IV (juniors and seniors). Usually my class consists of 145-150 students. Recently, I was funded through "donors choose.org" for a multi-media projector. I am thrilled to have this equipment because I can teach using a broad spectrum of technology. Just the other day, I found some really great information on the Holocaust. This would fit in perfectly with the literature units that cover that time period. So many of the pictures are real and unbelievable, and I know that it would be an asset to my lesson. While searching for all these great sites, I found many had audio versions. My computer currently only has internal speakers. It would be so amazing if I was able to connect external speakers to the projector. Not only would the students be getting the advantage of visual connections, they would also be able to get the audio to enhance the presentation. Please consider funding this proposal, so that the projector would be even more of an asset to my classroom. Thank you.
