My students need items for the Tinker Lab section of our room! This area allows the children to explore freely with water, light and a variety of building materials!
My Pre-Kindergarten classroom is made up of 22 loving, energetic students that are excited about learning. They will all attend Kindergarten next fall. My classroom is funded through a state title grant and about 40% of the students in our building live at or below the federal poverty guideline.
A Pre-K classroom is often the first school experience for children.
I want to make sure this experience is fun and educational and sets my students up for a lifetime love of learning!
My Project
My students love to explore our Tinker Lab! We need more materials like translucent boxes, snap bots, Geostix ant a few other items so that we can expand this area of our classroom to allow for more exploration through the Art of Tinkering! We need Sift & Find Alphabet Shells and Float & Find Alphabet Bubbles to add literacy skills to our water table explorations. We need manipulative's like letters, numbers and shapes to add to our light table explorations. We also need building kits like the Bamboo Building Blocks, Snap-Bots and the Big Bolt Construction Set to explore physics and engineering all while strengthening our fine motor skills! All of these activities allow for open ended play which is vital for early learning development!
