Beading is not only a fun way to express creativity, but the best part of all is that beading is good for your mental health. Beading requires us to think, reason, and focus, but it also relaxes us. It keeps our hands busy and our minds at ease. When stringing beads one by one, you're forced to slow down and take your time, allowing us to practice mindfulness.
Beading is not on a positive social activity for students but is also a strategy for focusing and calming down.
The repetitiveness of stringing beads is calming, almost like meditation.
It can help to relieve stress by preventing them from trying to multitask and encouraging students to maintain focus on one task. Not only does beading promote mindfulness and relieve stress, but it also encourages creativity and boosts our self-esteem.
Beading can be done in a group setting, allowing students to share ideas and stories with each other and help one another out. In addition, it gives students the opportunity to provide positive feedback and recommendations in design.
Students love beading many things from bracelets to necklaces to earrings. They especially enjoy making jewelry as gifts for their loved ones and are proud to create and share this wearable art.
