Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have entered the classroom again after a long span of virtual education. This coupled with me being a first year teacher, I am in need of a robust library for a variety of reading levels. Many of my third grade students struggle finding chapter books at their reading level, and I would like to provide this for them.
My students are motivated and excited to come to school each day and I want to foster that excitement in books.
Please help me build my library so students can share my love of reading.
My Project
My students need to see themselves in book and be inspired to read. By supporting my new library in my classroom you are helping students become excited to read. Reading is a passion of mine that I hope to instill in my students, and with the new library, this can happen.
Student's who are excited for a book are more likely to pick it up and read it fully.
